The highlight of the Cuba St Carnival is the award-winning Illuminated Night Parade, a truly wondrous spectacle! As the summer sky fades the streets of Wellington are transformed into a visual feast. The parade winds its way from Courtenay Pl to the top of Cuba St, bursting with floats, music, dancers, performers, strange sights and impromptu events. Make sure you get a spot on the Parade route early! Last Carnival’s parade attracted crowds of thousands so don’t miss out! All participants are eligible for prizes, including Best Float, Best Design and Best Costume.
